News from Mairi Orr:
Hi just back from" Sunny" Spain where we all had a fabulous time
Saturday saw everyone off in different directions to have a little holiday
after the never ending activities of the week
Lots of new friends were made and as they say up here in the highlands "the
creich" was good
Pam Moscati and I spent time in the bullring at Valencia at a festival when
they all sang Valencia it finished off our trip very nicely

18th February 2004:
ELSPETH HANLON IS THE LEADING SCOT IN SPAIN
Ireland's Mary McKenna and Valerie Hasset were the leading pair from Great
Britain & Ireland at the end of the first round of the Spanish
senior women's international foursomes at Mediterraneo Country Club
on Tuesday.
They returned a score of 75 - three off the pace set by the Spanish partnership
of Carmen Maestre Osorio and Ines Garcia-Minaur Rotaeche.
Leading Scot was Elspeth Hanlon from Gourock. Partnering
Sonja Gottshalch from Denmark, Elspeth returned a 79.

15th February 2004:
WINTER FOURSOMES REACHES THE FINAL STAGE:
Rosemary Reedie and Marion
Munro (Ranfurly
Castle) and Maimie
Robin and Maureen Mitchell (Old Ranfurly) are
through to the Final of the Winter Foursomes.
The final is to be played at Wiliamwood Golf Club on the 9th March at 12 noon.

RENFREWSHIRE COUNTY PLAYERS ENTER SPANISH SENIOR LADIES CHAMPIONSHIPS
LATER THIS MONTH
Elspeth Hanlon (Gourock), Jennifer Mack (Haggs Castle) and Fiona Roger (Ranfurly
Castle) have had their entries accepted for the Spanish senior women's double
amateur championship, to be played at Mediterraneo Golf Club, which is about
halfway between Barcelona and Alicante on the east coast of Spain.
