25th February 2005 (Friday): Lochwinnoch Pair into
the Winter Foursomes Final
and Elspeth Hanlon is the
best RLCGA Player in Spain
Maureen Cook and Sheila Shaw (Lochwinoch)
managed to win against Morag
Turner and Beatrice Orr (Kilmacolm)
- 4 & 2. yesterday played over Lochwinnoch.
Sheila reported "It was a very friendly match (our
first home game incidentally) and having decided to postpone the start
for an hour after overnight snow, the Course was completely green
in the sunshine and very playable. The Greenkeeper was very
accommodating allowing us to play to most of the big greens and also
from the front of the ladies tees (and not off the mats like everyone
else at the moment). So, all in all, a very good match - which I
think they enjoyed too, although the result went in our favour"
In the Final they now meet
Audrey Barclay and Penny Baglin
(East Renfrewshire).
The date and venue is still to be arranged.

2nd February 2005: Webmaster and Computer Problems
|
This is to apologise for the lack of
news recently but my computer went
on the blink and was away at the Computer
Hospital for 10 days. There also may not be some news for a
wee while since I have to go into a People
Hospital tomorrow for a wee op.
Meantime the only news at the moment is that
Audrey Barclay and Penny Baglin
(East Renfrewshire)
are through to the final of the Winter
Foursomes beating
Moira Hogg and Merope Dunlop
(Old Ranfurly) 3 and
2 in the Semi Finals. Click on the link above to see all the results so
far.Finally the
Guest Book has had some success in that
Evy MacGregor (Ranfurly Castle) has been able to get in touch
with friends out in Indonesia that they had lost touch with !
Apologies for not sorting out all the competitions
for 2005, however, I know you have all received your fixture diaries.
Finally as Aileen
said in her message yesterday, please do come to the dinner on March
9th, as I'm sure it will be a very entertaining evening. |
